The Little Luck Homestead is designed as a clean, comfortable and affordable mountain getaway for family, friends, riding groups and their horses. It is located in the town of Florissant, just minutes away from some of the best riding trails in Colorado. It is also close to many other Pike's Peak area attractions such as world class fishing at 11 Mile Reservoir, a wolf sanctuary and casinos.

The best known riding areas are Mueller State Park and Dome Rock, an easy 13 miles away. (Please be advised that Dome Rock trails are usually closed until July to protect the elk calving season.) Other, less familiar riding can be found on the 5,000 open area of the Fossil Beds 2 miles south, and 45 miles of trails on BLM land 6 miles north. There are other trails that are farther away but still easily reached such as the trail around Rampart Reservoir just north of Woodland Park. To make it easier to find these destinations, there is a notebook at the house, courtesy of Janet St. Jacques, (Horse Trails of "Colorful" Colorado) with full descriptions of most of these trails.. This information includes direction, parking, length and difficulty.
The house is a furnished
2 bedroom, 2 bath with full kitchen facilities including
microwave, coffee maker, pans, dishes. You'll also find such important
things like coffee, tea, salt and pepper are provided.
There is a queen size bed in the master bed room, twin
bunkbeds in the spare room, and a daybed and trundle to
sleep 6 comfortably. Towels and bedding are also provided.
There are 2 40x60 corrals, each with a 12x12 loafing shed and 4 20x30 corrals. Water and electric are available next to the corrals, as is abundant trailer parking. A selection of dvd's are provided for relaxing after your ride.
The facility is available for a flat rate for simplicity with no additional charge for horses or dogs. While dogs are welcome there are currently no outside facilities for them. Dogs are not allowed either at Mueller or the Fossil Beds.
